In the light of a conversation with Restauranteur, Yvonne Leger, it would appear that there is no great secret for success in the restaurant business. It's truly a family-run business - Yvonne Leger began the company in 1977 and is still active with daughters Monique and Lisa.

Success is the result of many small details that encourage people to visit again and again and prompt their close friends and family to try the experience.

Under a sky of maternal exterior hides a woman of great determination.  “I was committed to hard work when I decided to start the restaurant business and sometimes even today when there are not enough hours in the day, I do everything I have to do.”  Her restaurant is among the biggest in the province.  Seating is 366 respectively.

It is not surprising that Yvonne was named “Woman Entrepreneur” of the Year for South Eastern New Brunswick and also awarded the prestigious award for “Cleanest Kitchen in Canada”.  Attention to details such as ensuring there are fresh scallops for dinner is a hallmark of Leger’s quality oriented service.  It’s quality that has led to Air Canada recently naming Fisherman’s Paradise a “Restaurant of Distinction” in its In Flight Magazine, En Route.

Fisherman’s paradise first opened in Shediac, NB in November, 1977.  Due to our overwhelming popularity, we soon expanded to a seating capacity of over 300 in a few short years.  Our second location opened here in April 10, 1989, offering only the freshest of seafood and steak available.  Our family operated both locations for over 28 years before deciding to concentrate our efforts solely here, in Dieppe, NB.  It is our pleasure to offer you a wonderful dining experience.  Our generous portions and outstanding quality will be sure to satisfy any appetite.
